Dr. Robert Ford


Robert Ford has dedicated more than 40 years to helping patients improve their health, regain their vitality, and achieve lasting weight loss success. After earning his medical degree from Rush Medical College in 1984 and serving as Medical Director of Suncoast Family Practice in Sarasota, Dr. Ford developed a deep understanding of how metabolic health influences nearly every aspect of well-being.


Since joining Rx Weight Loss & Wellness as Medical Director in 2007, Dr. Ford has focused on helping patients overcome the challenges that often stand between them and their health goals. He believes successful weight loss is not simply about willpower—it requires a personalized approach that combines medical expertise, comprehensive evaluation, and ongoing support.


Using detailed health assessments, laboratory testing, and individualized treatment plans, Dr. Ford works closely with each patient to create a program tailored to their unique needs. William E. McComb, D.C. has spent decades studying the science of metabolism, nutrition, exercise physiology, and human performance. As the founder of the Sports Medicine Program at IMG Academy and the founder of Rx Weight Loss & Wellness, he has helped thousands of patients and athletes improve their health, lose weight, and optimize physical performance through evidence-based lifestyle and medical strategies.


Known for challenging conventional thinking and asking deeper questions about the causes of obesity and chronic disease, Dr. McComb has long advocated for a whole-food, metabolism-focused approach to health. His work emphasizes restoring the body's natural ability to produce energy, burn fat, build muscle, and thrive through proper nutrition, movement, sleep, and targeted medical therapies when appropriate.



His best-selling book, The Low-Fat Lie & The Smarter Way to Fat Loss helped bring these ideas to a wider audience and highlighted many principles that are now gaining broader recognition in the national discussion surrounding metabolic health, nutrition, and chronic disease prevention.
